About Me

I love to decorate!  I just love for my surroundings to be beautiful.  I even hung curtains and wallpaper border in my dorm rooms during all four years at college. When friends visit my home, they are stunned to find out that I painted every inch of our house and made all of the bedding, window treatments, and even some of the furniture myself.  I think I got this nesting bug from my family members.  My family has been buying & selling antiques for generations and we have had various businesses selling furnishings and antiques. 

My career started with 9 years of property management.  During this time I renovated a high rise apartment building in Alexandria, VA.  Due to the success of that project, my employers had me organize & decorate many rental offices and model apartments.  After leaving property management and staying home with the kids for a few years I started designing spec homes for a friend's construction company.  This included customizing floor plans, choosing all color schemes and finalizing material selections such as flooring, cabinetry, & lighting.  During this time I also did some staging for real estate agents.

Over the years, I have also been asked by friends and family to help dress their homes.  Recently, this demand has grown so I have decided to officially open my own business.  I believe that everyone should love being in their own nest and I know that this is achievable on any budget!

 I grew up here in Roanoke and I live here with two kids & two dogs.
